Problem
PlayNPlay needed a centralized system to manage room rentals and customer transactions. Manual booking processes created friction for customers, increased administrative work for staff, and made it harder to keep online reservations and offline walk-ins aligned. This also increased the risk of scheduling conflicts and double bookings.
Role
As the Backend Engineer, I developed the core backend services and business logic for a custom operational platform built from scratch. My work covered booking workflows, payment integration, loyalty-point rules, dashboard data flows, and communication features.
Solution
We built a custom Laravel-based booking and payment ecosystem that connects PlayNPlay's online reservations with offline walk-in operations in one dashboard. Customers can select and reserve available rooms online, while staff can manage reservations, payments, and on-site transactions from a centralized system.
The platform includes QRIS payment integration, initially through DOKU Payment Gateway and later migrated to Midtrans, enabling faster and more reliable digital payment processing. It also includes PlayPoints, a custom loyalty system designed to encourage repeat visits, plus WhatsApp broadcast functionality for customer announcements and promotional campaigns.

Result / Outcome
PlayNPlay gained a single operational system for managing room availability, online bookings, walk-ins, payments, loyalty rewards, and customer communication. The system reduced reliance on manual coordination, helped prevent double bookings, streamlined QRIS transactions, and created a stronger foundation for customer retention through PlayPoints and WhatsApp broadcasts.
